Lift The Veil

This work is an ode to my family, friends, and travels that have shaped me to become the person that I am today. I screen printed my own photos from my travels and with my family onto fabric, later machine sewing the pieces together to create a skirt. This skirt demonstrates how I am completely unique with my own set of experiences, a change in any photo would result in a completely new piece. The work also speaks to perception. Some may not understand the piece from far away, but it asks you to lift the veil, handle the experiences, and look closely to see things differently.
